Real Skills is a free online self-assessment tool for organisations in the New Zealand mental health, addiction and disability sectors. It's been developed by Te Pou o te Whakaaro Nui and Matua Raki to provide an easy way for organisations to assess staff knowledge and skills and plan targeted workforce development.

What's assessed?

Self-assessment is done against the following frameworks that workers can choose based on relevance to them and their role:

  • Let's get real
  • Let's get real: Disability
  • Te Whare o Tiki
  • Competencies for the mental health and addiction service user, consumer and peer workforce.
